I was thinking about upgrading my PC, hence my computer is slowly going obsolete. Not sure if what I have will work with what I'm getting, or if some of it is even needed. But, I only plan on upgrading the Graphics card. so im trying to work with what I have.

here is what I have:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 2046MB RAM
Hard Drive: 244 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS
Sound Card: SB X-Fi Audio [CCE0]
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.101209-1647)
Motherboard: E210882
Power Supply: 375

What I think I will be getting:
EVGA GeForce 9500 GT 1024 MB DDR2 PCle 2.0 Graphics card.

and Im not sure if I will need it, but if so. Im going to get this power supply

Will this/these work with what I have? if not, let me know.

Im sure. but that also means upgrading everything else if im not mistaken. Little more money can turn into a Lot more money. I'm going on 18 and I dont have a paying job. so where this money comes from is not from me. I hope you understand.

same upgrade as you planned, a new card and a power supply.
i dont know if its worth even bothering with the card you picked out.
my advice would be to go with a better card, should be able to find a good value from that chart for around a $100.
or just keep saving and and build a new tower.
:hatsoff:

pending on how big a city you live in craigslist will have some good deals on cards i bought a evga gtx 260 for $40 which is atleast 4 times the card a 9500 is and for power you can find a 600 watt on newegg for 40 that will run it just make sure it has 2 pci express plugins. your system will run that card . and will be the best choice for the money and for your system. you may even find power on craigslist for cheaper. I wouldnt buy the 9500 your not going to get any real noticable gain over a 7900 with that card you would be wasting your money.

for the 260 gtx, is the 600 watt MORE then enough, or just enough. I wouldnt want the power supply dying on me because its maxed.

http://flint.craigslist.org/sys/2551281792.html only 260 available
