I'm afraid it does use Steam - just spend nearly 3 hours installing the DVD version of the game because it links to Steam to download.{ESC}BlackRose wrote:you should be able to play single player Vampie, yea time of year servers can be full,,just keep trying,,i play on xbox so im not sure about steam for this game,, steam is a pain in the ass for anything,,lololol

It works now... but it had to DL all the update's first..also singleplayer and because the servers were busy i took a while before i could play.
An other thing..
I would like to CHOOSE where the game should be installed, since it's MY computer.
Not with steam... it just puts it on your HD where it wants.. :xxxx_spank:
Ah well at least its a nice game :D

I can help you find where your blackops files are located on your computer if you need help with that.
Also I thought you could play single player without being logged into steam. I could be wrong since I don't play single player very often.

Ty rose for looking it up :D
:coolehh:
I found were the game is installed an am OK with it.
Normal steamgames are installed in C:/programfiles/steam by default...
But when i installed steam i installed it on my D:/ drive :D
So it installed Blackops on the D:/ drive too and not in the windows partition.

Hey Vampie,
another warning with steam and black ops that you might run into in the future; Sometimes, it'll tell you "the game is not available at this time." Reading that when i wanted to play a game i paid for really pissed me off. But there is a fix for it...just to let you know ahead of time.
