I traded my 23' Komfort trailer in on a brand new Cougar 34' fifth wheel a couple of weeks ago and wifee and I are leaving today (Wed April 18 through Tues or Wed the following week -depending on the weather) Going to the Oregon coast for the maiden voyage. If a tsunami hits - I might be visiting some of you on the east coast...... I may be able to get into the forums but won't have the ability to play the game. My first "vacation" since retiring last June....but that's the stupid Oregon weather for ya!!! Take care all
Taking a little vacation
I hope you have a fun time Pappy..

Oregon is beautiful to drive through! Congratz on the new Cougar, Paps! I just googled it and they are super comfy looking. Wish I could come along with ya. Enjoy the voyage on a well deserved vacation. We'll miss ya till then. I wouldn't mind seeing some pictures if ya catch any pretty scenery. Living in NY, i forget what trees and lakes look like.

Hi all:
Well we made it safe and sound - well, sorta! Not having a lot of experience pulling a LONG - for me at least - trailer, I forgot you have to swing a bit wide when making a right turn. Stupid street sign never saw it coming! Tango sucka! Knocked that sign right off the post. Scrapes on the trailer are the kind I can buff out when I get around to it. My other trailer was only 23' - this one's 34! Weird part - we were only 2 blocks from the house! But the rest of the trip has gone well.
Oh, and I forgot about the bunnies. This place has a lot of bunnies! During the summer the kids chase the baby ones until they literally exhaust them and they roll over and die...........and adults who aren't the parents scream at them and their parents about it! One group actually got kicked out of the campground last year because they wouldn't control their kids! OK, the dying part was a bit exaggerated, but you can imagine 3-12 yr olds being relentless when they see baby bunnies!
Poured down rain all day Thursday - worst day we've spent here in 3 yrs. Today was dry and we're supposed to get into the 70's and maybe an 80 inland - which means we might get in the high 60's on the coast.
Having minor withdrawals from MW2......and we won't be home until Wed afternoon, darn!
Take care all........
