I toured a Dinner Bell processing plant in 3rd grade as a field trip and saw the process. Also worked in a pork processing plant where I gave tours to new trainees so they could decide if they wanted to work in the hot or cold side of the plant. They saw everything from getting off the truck to frozen hams. So .. nothing new for me. Gross? Not really. There are far worse things I would classify as gross than that.
