its not the money for the cpu, its the can of worms it opens to build a system around it. i'm currently on a phenom II 955, nvidia gtx560ti and it would be a decent jump but the only games i play are cod4 and eve. i'll do some more research on it.

For $100 - I'll take it. I never overclocked what I have now. :)

My motherboard will take it - I just wanted to know if I have to re-install windows so that it utilizes it properly.

I think it should be instant....I think it's what I did last time. Transferring money doesn't work as fast.
