I dont have pics on my work pc, but anyone else try their luck with 3d printers. They are fantastic when working correctly. This is the site for my current one at my school that I work for https://printrbot.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

Prints relatively quick, not too big on space, and works wonders when set up correct. Im liking the future, what about everyone else?

I know Lagar works with one occasionally. He was building a plastic motor last time I saw a picture of him using it. I've always wanted to try one but have no need to buy my own at the moment. Still something cool to watch evolve though.
Clays love me too much

I've seen the simple printers, I've seen/touched prints that have moving parts after you take away the removable part of the print, and I've seen Headlights that look optically correct after being printed up on much larger machines. A lot of what I see on the internet is just printed to print something. At work I see full 3d models printed up of various parts including 1/3 scale engines. I couldn't think of a practical application at home to justify purchasing one. :) Oh I could come up with some things, but I'd just have bunch of plastic gizmos sitting around.
