Curly, for Modern Warfare 2 you can try putting this command directly into the config file (steamapps/common/modernwarfare2/players/profile_name/config_mp.cfg), after editing that file don't forget to put Read-only attribute.

The other way - is to make it toggleable. For this purpose simply find the key that is not used (for example, 0, 9, 8) and add ths line
bind 0 "team_indicator 3"
Then, whil playing, you press the 0 button and get modified indicators (if, of course, this command is supported by Modern Warfare 2). If you want to have a possibility to restore original indicators - add
bind 9 "team_indicator 1" - so that when you press 9 key - the indicators will be set back to default. Once again, when you finish editing CFG file - put Read-Only, otherwise the game will reset all the changes you have made.

As for Call of Duty 4 - this command doesn't seem to exist in DVAR list. Still, the name colors, just as the team logos, are fully customazible. The way to customize the color of the team and player names, alongside with team names, was described in the "Reason of ban" thread.

77-22... thanks man, you are a wealth of information. I'll give them both a try. I have noticed on some black ops maps where i usually average 6-10 kills and 15 - 20+ deaths, has dramatically turned around. I had 22 kills and only 4 deaths the other night. which to me was an all time best. i can only attribute this to limiting how many times i get killed by thinking the person that killed me was an allie. i would pound my desk and yell at the guy that he was lucky i was colored blind :) :) :) :) . that was the frustrating part of game play. this kinda leveled the playing field...
oh, dont get me wrong though.... i am still old, slow to react, and suck at it. but it is much more fun now :weedspliff: .

thank you for all the info!!!

esc...you guys / gals are the best!!!! and attract the best folks out there because of it. thank you so much for allowing me to be part of it and using your forum for help and fun!!! rock on
