THERE WERE SOME COMPATABILITY UPDATES ON PATCH TUESDAY 2/12/2013 that seem to have fixed the cod4/punkbuster crash in windows 8. I have not crashed since. it also has seemed to fix the mouse focus for the menu. this one I think http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2793210

Note #3: i'm sure you are. win 8 has only been around since 2011, went rtm in august 2012, and available to the general public in oct 2012. so I can see where this has been a bit of a time crunch.

i played for 2hrs last night without getting crashed.
