Only watched the first half, but clearly the cop was embarrassed at how stupid he was for not having checked the driver earlier, and is now taking out his anger at himself on the driver, trying to make it the driver's fault. But the driver should have said something to the cop in the car - he had plenty of time.
I believe I can understand the anger the officer felt when he saw the gun, and that he was being quite sincere when he started talking about cops being harmed or killed on a regular basis.. But well, the officer gets all the wrongs here, first by not checking on the driver before several minutes, by not letting him talk and ignoring his story... The insults and threats don't help.
Sure the driver could have been more convincing, but when you hear the officer say that he wished he had shot him dead, you don't want to imagine the officer's reaction to what would have been some kind of "disrespect, agression" towards him, from his point of view.
I would like to see what the officer is going to say on his (pre)trial for his defense, if he is going to admit his wrongs or stand up for his behaviour.
