iw3mp.exe has stopped working

was getting booted from COD4 after about 30 secs - 1 minute with followinG
iw3mp.exe has stopped working.

i looked this up on the COD forum and there are many fixes listed but none have worked for me.

Now i have lsot sound ,i don't have a clue how ?

Gleedo i will fill my fridge with beer ,but please come over and help.

Just found this Gav, i might try it on mine to see if it fixes this problem. We both have RealTek sound on our mainboards:

i had some problems, and it came down to having to update punkbuster manually,, there was a program i had to dl first,,I have had no problems since!

i think you mean PB setup for manualy updating?right?
i do it regulary but yesterday on the extreme server , my game kept shutting down since the half time
