A couple ideas for you:

When entering the IP, try dropping the ":7777" part and see if that helps.

Add {ESC}* to your buddies list. This will show you where every ESC member is playing, chances are good that at least one will be on our server.

Please let us know if you still can not connect.

Maybe its just one map thats coming down slowly?

well i dont think its just 1 map and i will try dropping the 7777 it just goes to a complete black screen after i put the ip in.

This is actualy starting to ring a bell...

I think one of our members had a similar problem (pobox40 if i remember correctly).

Let us know if you still have probs jacko, and i will contact him to see what his problems were etc...

it works now it turned out that i used a : instead of a . in the ip thanks :D
