ok i have set up a server with the alien mod and used the cfg file thats in the mod but when i run the server even though city streets map isnt in the rotation it still loads the map and crashes not sure whats goin on any suggestions ?

Did you change your commandline to run the mod????

yes this is the line i added to do that +set fs_game mods/_aliens_ that is correct isn't it ?

Make sure your commandline says "server.cfg" and not "config.cfg".

That should do it.

this is my complete target line that will allow me to find the server

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe" +set fs_game mods/_aliens_+set dedicated 2 +set sv_maxclients 32 +exec server.cfg +map_rotate

if i put my ip and port it cant be found for some reason ? if u need i can give u the cfg file maybe something is messed up in it ?

also we have found that in some maps u spawn in the air and sometimes u cant kill ppl anyone have any ideas ?

So your running this on your computer not a dedicated server?

If so, I've never run my comp as a CoD4 server but I would think it's the basicly the same.
The mod goes in the mod folder and so does the config and the commandline line points to the mod you want to run.

yes im running it on a pc at my house and i think i may have it working now. The thing that has me confused now is in some of the maps you spawn in the air and also sometimes you cant kill the other team not sure if its the mod or what ? Sorry about all the questions i just havent been able to get in touch with insane to ask him and i thought maybe you all would have some ideas on how to fix the problems. And thnx again for all the help with this so far lager !

I really have know idea what would cause that issue. I had a similiar problem with Extreme when I first set it up and it was because I didn't have the mod in the right place.
