Will anyone else be gettiing Crysis2 and/or brink?
Just like the topic says, these are two upcoming PC shooters i could see our members playing, Brink is a persistent world squad based shooter with ana rtist bent towards borderlands but gameplay unlike any shooter I've ever played, and well Cysis 2 is Crysis FFS, who's NOT going to be playing that? I've already played the PC demo (until it was taken offline) and of course had our clan tags on :p
I Will find you.

Brink looks awesome. I wonder if they are going to have a demo. If not I will have to wait and see how others think about it.

Rosie, Crysis two was built for consoles as well as PC, so the system requirements aren't really that high. I ran the demo on advanced settings no problem
its something like Dual-core 2.2Ghz
2Gb RAM
and a 512 MB video card with pixel shader 3.
check here and see if you can or not

Well afte perusing the Crysis forums I think I'll be skipping Crysis 2 and just waiting for the editing tools to come out this summer.
From the LOADS of threads I've read/seen Crysis 2 is a straight up console port, pushing no new boundries for hardware limits (like Crysis 1 did) NO new innovations to the gameplay, just another CoD Console shooter.
/color me dissapointed.
also I may be looking into Firefall. Seems this is being made by a studio of gamers who want to make games for gamers not games for publishers.

DasReviews - How Crytek doomed Crysis 2's PC version.
All in all, the PC version of Crysis 2 is a console port and nothing more. We haven’t discussed the gameplay as we wanted to focus on specific PC features that are present in Crysis 1 and everyone would expect them to be still present. After all, this is not a review of the game. It is also funny witnessing Crytek’s employees wondering why PC gamers need ‘Advanced Settings’ when they can edit the cVar files to change whatever setting they want. How about it’s easier to find out what settings can impact the framerate with the in-game advanced settings?
We are pretty sure that Crytek will be blaming PC piracy if the PC version sales don’t meet their expectations. Instead of the PC piracy however, Crytek should blame themselves for letting down their PC fanbase and offering them a simple console port that lacks features that made Crysis what it is today. Maximum disappointment!

I've read about a dozen posts this week that say the same thing in different words, Crytek is using this debacle as an exscuse to drop PC development.{ESC}Snow White wrote:DasReviews - How Crytek doomed Crysis 2's PC version.
