Neil Peart probably really is.
Though John Longstreth (King of heel-toe double bass, IMO) is my favorite, guy is an animal. :mrgreen:

Yeah there are some fantastic drummers out there. I have been drumming for close to 30 years now, mostly funk/fusion, rock, jazz. But there are few IMO that can even touch this guy, even at 60 some years old. Is quatering syncopation is mind boggling. Cheers to the drum legends!!

I agree that is awesome but my fave has always been Buddy Rich and im pretty sure that dirk was refering to him although i could not follow his link. To me, he was the best and I think that is because he had more time to practice
