Hi everyone!
For my new year resolutions (which I'm not a fan of...why wait until the 1st of Jan imo) I plan to get fitter.
...
actually originally my New Year Resolution was:
Do the Splits before May (yes with my legs)
Regain my flexibility and physical strength (my junior black belts are getting too close to my level so now i need to show them how its down.)
Run Belfast Marathon
Do a Computer Course
Put university FIRST...(Truly this 1 will be a bitch of epic porpotions)
Apply for a language course (either Japanese or (Irish Gaelic i know spelt it wrong lmao))
Get my third Dan before December
Learn to drive an ambulance.
So taking this 1 day at a time I'm using myself (@ 16 years old as my ranking system)
At age 16 I did/could:
atleast 150-250 pushups, situps and leg raises and 100 Standing squats. and 10 what i call "headstand pushups"(where you do a headstand push yourself up and lower yourself down without dropping your head onto the floor)
I could also do the splits and was extremely flexible
Right now I can do 60 situps, etc a day half a headstand pushup and am currently am a foot of the ground whilst attempting the splits (all within my comfort zone)
So heres my problem, today I bought a Yoga mat, and dumb bell wieghts in a nice wee deal. I know basic pilates and yoga and by basic i mean 5 positions lol. The problem is these are my first dumbbells and the instructions are pure shite. That said I know the bicep one, the tricep one, and the arm raise up to the side one. Does any1 know any good websites or articles that explains how to use dumbbells with out injuring yourself???
probably will regret this post later...lol
