yummy peanut butter or chocolate fudge!

1/3 cup butter
2 cups regular sugar
2/3 cup milk
1 cup small marshmellos ( or the jarred kind)
1 cup peanut butter ( or chocolate cubes for choc fudge)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
melt the butter in a pan till its all melted then add the sugar,salt,and milk.
bring these to a slow boil till its 232f.-234f. degrees
take off heat and add the marshmellos, peanutbutter or chocolate), mix well and sorta fast
then add vanilla and mix quick
pour out on prebuttered plates or on a good sized pan covered with wax paper
let kool and ready to munch
caution highly addictive
in order to make more just multiple the ingrediants by how ever many times you wanna go i allways do it in multiples of 4 because if i make it everybody and there brothers want some!
hope this helps anyone with the fudge cravings its a old recipe that i was taught back when i was like 12 years old and ive been making it since, theres no way im paying 9>50 for a half pound at the local candy shops when i can make arround 10lbs for the same money!
also dont try to make this if it is raining out or it will not turn out it will be more like taffey because of the moisture in the air!
be creative like me and do 1 batch of pb then 1 batch of chocolate and then pour them out one on top they other and you have your home made reeses !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
