Would this be a good computer for a long time?

yeah sure would... but you know that you could build it yourself for allot cheaper. But other then that the only thought is the power supply, woun't be enough if you one day decide to add another video card or components. If you do buy that have them upgrade to a thermatake 1000, it will last for years...

Hey Hawkeye could you give me an idea of what the best parts I can get and put together for 2 grand.

Thinks I would like:
240GB Solid slate hard drive. Tigerdirect (OCZSSD2-2AGTE240GB $419.99)
Full tower and liquid cooled.
Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Most bang with good products.

Like Hawk said that computer would be great, it looks like a beast to me. But it would sure be alot cheaper and upgradeable if you build one yourself. Liquid cooling is a real efficient way to cool the CPU but is a little tricky and definitely would not be a good ideal for your first build. Although they do make sealed systems just for cooling the CPU they haven’t really proven any better than an after market cooling fan.
